Full-mouth reconstruction is a service that we hope you will never need. And yet, we have learned that it’s a service that we should and do offer at our dentist office in Sterling Heights, MI.
Patients who are missing several teeth may not believe that anything can be done to bring back their smiles. In truth, Dr. Michael Young takes pride in improving the lives of our patients by improving their teeth.
Through a combination of restorative dentistry and other services, we can do a full dental reconstruction so you look like you have a mouth full of natural-looking teeth once again.
Sometimes the hardest step is the first one, but just know that everyone at Forever Young Dentistry is on your side. Scheduling a consultation could be the beginning of your journey to the best smile you’ve ever had.
How Do You Feel About Your Teeth?
We’ve seen it happen time and time again. A patient comes into our office who is so embarrassed by his teeth that he mumbles through his conversation, or a patient talks to the ground so people can’t see her teeth.
The work we do to removing damaged teeth and replace missing teeth goes a long way toward changing the appearance of someone’s mouth. But the bigger transformation often is the way it transforms our patients’ self-confidence.
It’s impossible to say what it means to us to be able to help people every week, if not every day, who just want to stop feeling ashamed of their smiles.
No matter how bad you think your smile is today, rest assured that every person at Forever Young Dentistry will do whatever we can to give you a smile that you feel comfortable sharing at social gatherings, at professional events, or in personal encounters.
How Can We Help You?
You hear that question a lot in retail stores from customer service representatives. Many times this is just part of their training, and it may or may not be a sincere offer for help.
Our dentist office is not a retail store. Dr. Young wants to know what you want your smile to look like. He wants to know what you would like to change.
Once we know those things, we can work with you to develop a plan for your full dental reconstruction.
Here are some of the ways we may be able to give you a smile you will be happy to see in your reflection:
✦ Veneers — If you still have your teeth, but they have become worn down, chipped, or broken, you can still have a great smile. We may be able to attach porcelain veneers to the front of your teeth to give you the appearance of teeth that are whole once again.
While we’re at it, we can make veneers that make your teeth look white and straight, too.
✦ Dental crowns — If you need to replace individual teeth, then our dental crowns will be an essential part of your full-mouth reconstruction.
✦ Dental bridges — Missing two or more teeth in the same part of your mouth leaves gaps that hard to ignore and may affect how well you can eat. A dental bridge can close the gap and restore you bite.
✦ Dentures — Losing a whole row of teeth doesn’t mean you have to lose your smile. The right kind of dentures will help you feel like yourself once again.
Building On A Solid Foundation
Any kind of reconstruction has to start with a strong foundation. In restorative dentistry, dental implants provide that foundation.
Implants replace the roots of your missing teeth. We use a single implant to support a dental crown, or we can use multiple implants to secure dental bridges and dentures.
Dr. Young graduated from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 1994. Since then, he has made continuing education a priority.
We want you to know that one example of that continuing education was mini-residency in dental implants from Nobel Biocare, which makes some of the best dental implants available today.
So you see, the solid foundation used in your full-mouth reconstruction won’t just be the implants themselves, but Dr. Young’s personal training and years of experience helping patients just like you.
