Sterling Heights Dentist Asks Patients to Participate in Giving Season

STERLING HEIGHTS, MI – Dr. Michael Young, a talented dental implant dentist, is asking patients and community members to support a child in need this holiday season.

Dr. Young’s office, Forever Young Dentistry, is again serving as a location for the Salvation Army’s annual Angel Tree program that provides children of financially insecure families with presents on Christmas. The Angel Tree includes the names of children in the area along with items on their Christmas wish list.

“This is a great opportunity for those in our community to brighten the Christmas Day of a local child,” Dr. Young said. “Our goal is that each child on our Angel Tree has their list fulfilled and gets to experience an amazing Christmas morning.”

This is the third year Forever Young Dentistry has served as an Angel Tree location. Each Angel Tree card includes the name of a child and items on their Christmas list. The items range from from clothing to toys, games, books, music and more.

Once the participant has purchased an item or several items on the list, he or she returns the card with the tag. The Salvation Army asks that all gifts are new and submitted unwrapped. The presents are organized and then distributed by the Salvation Army before Christmas Day.

“Our patients have been very generous,” Dr. Young said. “We have been truly blessed, and we’re so grateful to have the ability to give back to our community, especially during the Christmas season.”

Forever Young Dentistry, 39242 Dequindre Rd., Ste. 106, is a state-of-the art facility with patient amenities and the latest dental technology. The office is trained to provide all aspects of dentistry, including preventive dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, restorative dentistry, Invisalign and dental implants.

Dr. Young, originally from Saginaw, Michigan, graduated from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 1994 and began in private practice. Dr. Young has taken extensive post-graduate classes and trained at the prestigious Kois Center, where he now serves as a mentor. He also is a Fellow at the American College of Dentists, International College of Dentists and Pierre Fauchard Academy. In his effort to stay on the cutting edge of dentistry, Dr. Young received the Detroit District Dental Society Young Dentist Award.

Since building a new Forever Young Dentistry location in 2006, Dr. Young has added a wide range of services and technology to improve overall quality and the patient experience. He uses the Planmeca FIT system to design, mill and place dental crowns in one visit. Typical dental offices require patients to visit two or three times for a basic crown procedure, but the Planmeca FIT system CAD/CAM technology lets Dr. Young take impressions, design and place a crown in about 90 minutes.

Dr. Young also offers Invisalign, a revolutionary tool that has been used to treat orthodontic issues for the last 15 years. Instead of clunky metal brackets or wires, Invisalign uses clear aligners to straighten teeth. The treatment has been well-received by teens and adults because it is virtually invisible and can be easily removed for eating and cleaning.
